Special Section on Large-Scale Spatio-Temporal Data Analysis for Real-World
Sensing
(http://www.ite.or.jp/en/mta/special_issues/pdf/mta-sI-2015_07.pdf)

The ITE (Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers)
Transactions on Media
Technology and Applications announces a forthcoming Special Section on
"Large-Scale
Spatio-Temporal Data Analysis for Real-World Sensing" to be published in
July 2015.
The objective of the special section is to focus on the advances in media
technologies
for analyzing the large-scale spatio-temporal data for real-world sensing
via visual,
multimedia, and social sensors. You are strongly encouraged to submit
original research
papers of the topics which include
- Object Tracking or Self-Localization,
- Crowd Behavior Analysis,
- Anomaly Detection,
- Landmark or Real-World Event Detection,
- Environmental Monitoring (Transportation, Climate, Disaster, Disease,
Land Use, Plant and Animal Population, etc.),
- Large-Scale Sensor-based Real-World Mapping and Visualization,
- Multimodal Sensor Fusion in Distributed Sensor Networks, and
- Other related works of Real-World Sensing.

Submission Guidelines:
Papers must be submitted by November 17, 2014. Manuscripts should be
prepared according
to the guideline given in the "Information for Authors". The latest version
is available
at the web site, http://www.ite.or.jp/en/mta/information_for_authors/.
Authors should
write "Special Section: Large-Scale Spatio-Temporal Data Analysis for
Real-World Sensing"
in the cover letter and choose the [Special Section] as a "Section Type" on
the online screen.
Do not choose [Regular]. The term for revising the manuscript after
acknowledgement of
conditional acceptance for this special issue could be shorter than that for
other regular
issues (30 days) because of the tight review schedule.
