お茶の水女子大学の伊藤です。(複数受信の際にはご容赦下さい。)

2015年4月13〜17日にスペインで開催されます ACM SAC 2015 の
Multimedia Visualization Track (MMV) の論文募集のご案内です。
僭越ながらTrack co-chairの一人として当トラックを担当しております。

Multimedia Visualization

ACM Symposium
# on Applied Computing 全体の投稿期限が延長となっています。

関係分野に従事する皆さまのご投稿を心からお待ちしています。

*Multimedia and Visualization (MMV) Call for Papers

The themes Multimedia and Visualization are concerned with principles,
tools and processes that improve our ability to understand, create,
manage, visualize and maintain multimedia in general and interactive
media in particular. The aim of this track is to bring together researchers
from academia and industry who are actively engaged both in theoretical
and practical aspects of these multidisciplinary themes, including those
interested in discussing issues relative to Human-Computer Interaction and
Human-Media Interaction.

Authors are invited to submit papers which will be evaluated in terms of:
originality, technical content, accuracy, significance of the work,
appropriateness for the ACM SAC MMV track and presentation (organization,
style and clarity).

SAC has grown to be a large and very competitive conference. For instance,
in the past 4 years the MMV track had an acceptance rate smaller than 30%,
as the other tracks in the symposium.

Authors should follow the ACM SIG format (Latex and MS Word templates available
at: http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates). Submissions
should not exceed six (6) double-column pages (with the option, at additional
expense of USD 80 per page, to add two more pages). Accepted papers will be
published in the ACM SAC proceedings and widely available through the ACM Digital
Library.

Submit your paper electronically in PDF. The submission system can be found at the
SAC 2015 website: http://www.acm.org/conferences/sac/sac2015/

Authors are invited to check the papers presented at previous editions of the ACM
SAC symposium at: http://portal.acm.org/event.cfm?id=RE133

Please, note that paper registration is required for allowing the inclusion of the
paper/poster in the conference proceedings. An author or a proxy attending ACM SAC
MUST present the paper. This is a requirement for all accepted papers and posters
to be included in the ACM digital library. No-show of scheduled papers and posters
will result in excluding them from the ACM digital library.

*Student Research Competition (SRC)
The Student Research Competition (SRC) program, sponsored by Microsoft Research, is
a newly added program to the ACM SIGAPP Symposium on Applied Computing (SAC).
Graduate students are invited to submit research abstracts (minimum of 2-page and
maximum of 4-page) to the Student Research Competition (SRC), following the
instructions published at SAC 2015 website. Authors of selected abstracts will
have the opportunity to give poster presentations of their work and compete for
three top-winning places. The winners will receive cash awards and SIGAPP
recognition certificates during the conference banquet. Authors of selected
abstracts are eligible to apply to the SIGAPP Student Travel Award program for
support.

Note: there are two different submission systems - one for regular tracks
